Day 45 VLCD

I have not come to 40 injections yet. so I should be ok. I skip on Sundays, and have missed a few days by accident.  Also I have heard of people doing 72 day rounds. And still have losses, so I am not stressing it.
I really want to have lost 25 lbs before moving on to P3.

Today I am at 22.8 lbs gone.
So awesome.
Today I had "pasta" for lunch. (photos below)
It was the Tofu noodles I reviewed the other day.
Today I took a photo of how that recipe turned out.

I made the homemade sauce, but this time didn't have chicken to put into it.
So I mixed in 1/2 C of cottage cheese as my protein.  It was very good, and filling.
Happy me.
Beware this is a rouge recipe, and some people gain with shiritaki or zero calorie noodles.

Day ??? of VLCD - LOL

So I am down 21 lbs from day 1 of VLCD.
the losses are slowing down, BUT they are LOSSES.
Yesterday I was up...but don't know why. Water I guess because it came right back off.
Never ever say I ONLY lost 0.2 or whatever it is...if it is a LOSS its a reason to celebrate.
any other "diet" out there you would never lose more than a lb a week. so every day is a celebration on this plan. even when I am UP a lb I know it will come right back off, IF I JUST STICK TO PLAN.

Today's PLAN:
Breakfast; Ice Coffee black w/stevia
Lunch: grilled chicken and salad
Dinner: Baked fish, w/ saute'd cabbage and onion.
Snack: Strawberries w/Stevia

My review of "miracle noodles"

These particular noodles are reviewed by "Hungy girl".
The brand name is: House Foods Tofu shirataki Fettuccine Noodles.

I bought then at the local supermarket and decided to top them with chicken and tomato sauce.
(I sautéed onion and garlic in a non stick pot, added a can of pureed "no sugar, no salt added" tomatoes, added oregano, garlic powder, and basil and let simmer for about 15 - 20 min)

I wanted some spinach so I added about 1/4 cup fresh to my sauce. then added the chicken pieces I had cut up 2 chicken legs - 100 grams.

I had heard the noodles smelled bad. I opened them and sniffed. they did smell a bit fishy, not as strong as tuna, and nothing HORRIBLE!!
The package said to drain and rinse well then boil or microwave and drain and dry.
I only rinsed them in a colander under hot tap water for about 5 min.
then added them to my sauce.

They didn't really have a taste and were a bit rubbery. but I liked them. The were NOT exactly like pasta  but they definitely filled me up.  And would do if I was having a pasta craving.
We will see if they make me gain or stall tomorrow morning.
I will keep you posted.

I am up one pound today, I know it is water weight but up a entire lb isn't fun.
So today. lots of water. and Perfectly on Plan.

Breakfast: coffee, apple.
Lunch: Salad, w/ crab meat, Walden Farms dressing
Dinner: Lamb shish-ka-bob w/ peppers onion and tomato.
Strawberries w/ walden farms marshmallow dip.

Spinach stew

I have a recipe for spinach stew, that I thought would be good on P2

My husband loves this over white rice:

1 T coconut oil
1 chopped red onion
2 clove garlic minced.
(roasted red and yellow bell pepper optional)
1 lg can tomato puree
2 C vegetable broth, low sodium
2 smoked turkey legs
1 lg bag chopped spinach

sauté onion and garlic in oil
add tomato puree and chicken broth and turkey legs.
Bring to a boil. reduce to med heat and cook until  turkey is falling off bone.
remove bone add spinach, stir and cook an additional 20 - 30 min. adding more broth if needed.

it was so good I ate a bit more than my allotted 4 oz of turkey.

And I'm down 1.5 lbs! Woot

That cheat really seemed to set me back.
If your doing this protocol, Cheating is soooooo not worth it.
but once I got back on track I was losing again, about 0.2 per day.
Finally today I had the Woosh Factor and lost 1.5.

The Woosh Factor:
your cells lose fat, but now that they have no fat and extra space in them, so they sometimes fill back up with fluid. (they like being FULL)  but after a few days, they realize they don't need that extra fluid and flush it out.
and shrink.
It is one of the reasons that it is so easy to GAIN weight back once you lose it.
Your FAT cells don't go away, they just shrink. once they have stretched out and gotten BIG it is easier to get that way again.
Don't let the fat win!! keep drinking lots of water to flush out that extra fluid and fat!!!
We can do it!!!

AND I'm back on track

So the cheat set me back 4 days. So NOT worth it.
Today I am back on track, and at the same weight as before the cheat.
I am also NOT hungry. so I am thinking the HCG new batch was a good idea.

Today's plan:
Breakfast: Apple w/ maple flavoring
Lunch: Salad w/ Fat Free Cottage Cheese
Dinner: Talapia w/ cabbage & onion
Dessert: Strawberry Ice "cream"

New Batch and instructions

Corion 5000 - mixing 125 IU dose in .12.5 cc injection
 Disclaimer:
This is for my own personal use, please consult a physician before taking any medication for any reason.  HCG is not approved by the FDA for weight loss.

I find it works for me, so I use it!

HCG comes in a sealed sterile container with a small 2 ml glass container of sterile water for injection. (the HCG is a powder) I throw out the water as the glass ampule is hard to break, and I worry about getting glass in my mixture.
At the far left I have my amber glass sterile vile for mixing.
This is a plastic sterile container of water for injection
I take the water out directly thru the container.
The top comes off, but it is less sterile that way.
Here I have removed the purple plastic cap to expose the rubber stopper. I sterilize with alcohol wipes.
** I have received HCG in glass ampules, I broke it with a damp paper towel to catch the tiny shards of glass, and purchased a mixing syringe with mesh  to weed out any glass.  I now request VIALS not Ampules
I sterilize the top of the amber mixing vile
This is the mixing syringe it is large and can hold up to 10 CC of liquid .
I always wipe everything with alcohol before starting.

Here it is compared with my 1 CC injection syringe.
Sterile water for injection is sold in 10 CC plastic containers. or 30 ML vials (a CC and ml are the same thing)  I have also gotten my Sterile water in vials as well. this time it came in these sealed plastic containers. But once unsealed, I had to throw the rest away. I prefer the rubber stopper sealed kind.
I start by withdrawing 1 cc of air from the HCG vial.  then injecting the air into the sterile water container then withdrawing 1 cc of water.
I then inject the water into the HCG and swirl gently.  DO NOT SHAKE.

Next withdraw 4 cc of air from the mixing vial. and insert 4 cc of air into the water container and with draw 4 cc of water. (sometimes this has to be done in smaller increments.) If I don't first insert air, it makes it very difficult to withdraw the liquid if the seal is on correctly.

I then deposit the 4 cc of water into the mixing vial.

This next photo is up close to show how to get every last drop of HCG out of the vial, I have to put the mixing syringe very close to the bottom of the vial so the angled opening is at the very edge of the rubber stopper

This allows me to get ALL the HCG out of the container.

I then inject the 1 cc of HCG into the 4 cc's of water in the mixing vial.  giving me a total of 5 cc solution.
with a 5000 IU HCG perscription. I take 0.125 cc daily. which is a solution of 125 IU.
I used to mix 10 cc solution and would take 0.25 cc daily, but why waste the water and take a bigger injection. smaller injections hurt less.

I use my small insulin needles with .05 increments on it.
It is broken down to 100 "units" from 1 CC
this makes it easier to read, and increase or decrease my dose if needed.
This just a photo of the syringe, not the actual dose.
My does on this needle would barely show as it would be just iabove the 15 mark. (12.5)

OK - Moving on

So yep, we all mess up, so I pull myself back up and move on.
Sticking to protocol.
I am thinking this cheat and a little hunger today.
Maybe the potency of my HCG is lacking.
I should mix a new batch. I have about 2 - 3 injections of HCG left it looks like.
But I am going to toss that and mix a fresh batch.

Today's plan:
Breakfast: Apple slices, coffee
Lunch: chopped cucumber slices, 1 T chopped red onion w/ crab meat salad made with Walden farms chipolte mayo.
Dinner: Ground turkey sauted with cabbage and onion
Strawberries w/ Walden farms marshmallow dip.

UGH!!! so no loss today.

So emotional eating gets to us all.
I have been doing AWESOME on this protocol.
I am down 18.2 lbs

I should be so proud of myself, and I am.
So why do I let emotions rule what I put in my mouth!? I mean I KNOW BETTER.
I KNOW what it will do to me.

but what did I do tonight?  yep I snuck into the kitchen and ate 20 chips with dip. and a diet Dr. Pepper. I haven't drank a soda of any kind in about 9 months.
I usually don't have that stuff in the house. but we have had people over, due to my husband's father's death.   sigh. NO sense beating myself up.
I will drink tons of water tomorrow. and get back on plan.
Glad I'm afraid of throwing up...or I might consider purging this crap out of myself.

Yeah I know....not very good thoughts.  so I will now actively Let it go.

New recipe:

So the last couple days I didn't Blog.
TOM has made me fluctuate up and back down the same 0.2 lbs over 3 days.
but nothing major.  so not stressing the small stuff.

Today I decided to try something new: mashed radishes.
I thought they would be like potatoes.
And if I could have added sour cream they may have been.

I boiled red radishes for about 30 minutes.
Then just mashed them like regular potatoes, I didnt need to add any liquid as they retained some from the boiling.
I added some scallion while boiling and powdered garlic when mashing.
They were pritty good,
I would dry them a bit more next time as they were a little runny.
but with my baked chicken it was pritty good.

Strawberries, blueberries and pineapple. cute right?

I could have had just the strawberries but no I ate the whole thing.
Also ate more than my 4 oz of steak. and had 2 bites of baked beans. they probably had sugar in them.

Review Walden Farms Marshmallow dip

I had the Walden Farms Marshmallow dip on strawberries.  It was pretty good. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. it has a different consistency than regular marshmallow, but it was slightly sweet and I liked it.

A review of Walden Farms products

so my Walden Farms order arrived!
I decided to make the protein pancakes due to this.

The pancake syrup is good, mapley. you can tell it is sugar free, but it is good for a 0 calorie product.

The blueberry Jam.  I put it on the pancakes with the maple syrup so it was hard to tell, but it did taste like blueberry Jam...go figure. I liked it, can't wait to try it when I can have bread.

The caramel dip. Ok this is not the same consistency as caramel it is thinner.   I hear when it is refrigerated it is better. we will see.   It does have an artificial sweetener after taste, but it was pretty good on my apples. I will try it on other things after refrigerating and re-review.

Happy Releases all!

Day 16 VLCD. no loss today

3rd day with no loss. no more hamburger for me for a while!!
